Cabot Specialty Fluids supplies formate drilling and completion fluids to the global oil and gas industry. We need the right people with the right skills and, most importantly, the right attitude to continue the success.

As part of our growth strategy we are looking to strengthen our team with a suitably qualified and experienced Plant/Warehouse Operator. Reporting to the Plant/Warehouse Manager the successful candidate will conduct all warehouse activities, including stock rotation of raw materials and final products.

The role

  • Responsibility for accurate receipt and recording of all plant goods, including their storage, according to quality-control rules
  • Blending raw material to create final product
  • Pre-shipment testing to ensure customer specifications are met
  • Responsibility for accurate final-product inventory records and shipment on schedule
  • Arranging freight according to schedules for shipment and receipt of goods
  • Responsibility for plant and warehouse housekeeping, as well as involvement in other activities, including loading and unloading
  • Following plant equipment maintenance schedules and monitoring spare-part stocks

The candidate

  • Trained FLT driver
  • Proven competency in a similar role, including knowledge of principles for stock-record accuracy and cycle counting
  • Good general education in numeracy, literacy and English
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Commitment to a culture of progressive safety, quality and customer service
  • Background from the brine-fluids sector of the oil and gas industry is advantageous
